Loch a’ Mhuilinn

There's a feeling of undisturbed wilderness at Loch a' Mhuilinn, with the trees and their coats of lichen and moss. Admire the views across the shoreline, search out the elusive otter or just enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the springtime carpet of wildflowers on the woodland floor.

  Spring for woodland flowers.

• Getting there

  Two and a half miles south of Scourie, off the A894, on the northeastern shore of Eddrachillis Bay. Limited bus services connect with Ullapool and Inverness.

  Parking near entrance to Reserve and track into the heart of the Reserve.
