Claish Moss
The pools and mounds of Claish Moss combine in a maze-like pattern of wet and really wet ground that quakes beneath your feet. A distant view reveals its patchwork colours, and up close, there are specialist plants to discover and dragonflies galore.

Getting there
South shore of Loch Shiel, halfway between Salen and Acharacle, off the A861. Access is via a forest track and waymarked track (thirty minutes walk).

Information panels. No formal paths on Reserve. Bog surface is dangerous with deep pools.
