New SNH manager at Scotlands most northerly reserves

The Scottish Executive has introduced arrangements to prevent the spread of bird flu. The countryside remains open. You can still enjoy the countryside, beaches and local areas as normal - there are no restrictions on people moving around the area.
SNH coordinates national wild bird monitoring

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) is helping to coordinate a national surveillance operation of dead wildfowl such as swans, geese and duck. Monitoring will focus on the Scottish Executive’s ‘wild bird risk area’ around Cellardyke.
