Research on National Nature Reserves

Encouraging research and survey is one of the main aims of National Nature Reserves. These pages deal principally with "academic research" and outline the potential projects which are available for senior school projects, all levels of university students as well as for university and research institute staff.

We do however also recognise the high level of research, taxonomic and survey expertise which is available in the "amateur or volunteer" sector and we would also encourage applications from these sources
