Volunteering on NNRs

National Nature Reserves are wonderful places to volunteer.  Getting involved is a great way for you to learn new skills and gain experience, get outdoors, discover new places, meet new people, improve your health and the environment at the same time!

Volunteers work with us in a range of ways, from short day events to medium or long-term volunteer roles.

Please note that Scottish Natural Heritage does not fund student placements.  People seeking funding for student placements could go to the Scottish Natural Heritage website for information about research studentships, but there are only around 3 of these per year.
