Beinn Eighe and Loch Maree Islands
At Beinn Eighe and Loch Maree Islands NNR we really value the help of volunteers. There is always lots going on. Volunteers help us with a range of tasks such as practical estate management as well as survey and monitoring. We welcome a small number of residential volunteers each year. We are also keen to hear from you if you live locally and would like to volunteer with us. At the moment we have the following volunteer roles:
Beinn Eighe and Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve Volunteer
This is a general volunteer role with us at the reserve and will involve a range of practical estate management work, and habitat and species monitoring and survey work.
If you are interested in this, have a look at the role description to see if it suits you and your skills, what is involved, how much time it will take and what training may be offered.
If you live locally, so wouldn't need accommodation, and are interested in this role, please get in touch with us at any time as we will see if we can amend the role to fit the times you are available.
Each year Scottish Natural Heritage offers a placement at Beinn Eighe and Loch Maree Islands NNR to a student from North Highland College, Thurso.
Applications for the next placement will be coordinated by North Highland College.
Please note that residential volunteer placements are for a minimum of 1 month.
