National monitoring

The long documented history of ownership and management of our National Nature Reserves, the range of important habitats which they contain and in some cases the availability of on site staff and research facilities has made them the natural place to carry out long term  monitoring  often as part of a UK wide scheme. Such long term monitoring is increasingly valuable in these times of changing climatic patterns.
