Research on National Nature Reserves

Encouraging research and survey is one of the main aims of National Nature Reserves. These pages deal principally with academic research and outline the potential projects which are available for senior school projects, all levels of university students as well as for university and research institute staff.

We do however recognise the high level of research, taxonomic and survey expertise that exists outside the academic world, and we also encourage research by interested amateurs and volunteers.
